Maseru District Hospital
Maseru District Hospital and Eye Clinic, inaugurated by Prime Minister Sam Matekane, is a state-of-the-art medical facility funded by the People’s Republic of China. Built by the Shanghai Construction Group, this M800 million project spans 10 modern buildings equipped with advanced medical technologies, offering services such as dialysis, ICU, CT-scan, histopathology, dermatology, and eye care. The hospital also includes training facilities for medical staff. This initiative, stemming from the collaborative efforts of former prime ministers and sustained China-Lesotho partnerships, aims to enhance healthcare quality and accessibility for the Basotho people.
